Betsy Burmeister, Covenant’s Music Coordinator since January 2006, has worked with its Children and Youth Choirs since l983. Having sung in church choirs and accompanied worship services and choirs since age 12, she feels right at home coordinating the music ministry program, directing the adult choir, children’s choirs, chime choir, serving as one of three church pianists, and scheduling and rehearsing with vocalists, instrumentalists, liturgical dancers and ensemble groups. She has a Bachelors of Music Education degree from WVU and a Masters in Child Development from UT. She has done extensive work in preschool education and staff development, and has attended many summer sessions at the Montreat Worship and Music Conference. She holds professional memberships in the Presbyterian Association of Musicians and Chorister’s Guild.
