Christian education opportunities for adults to learn together are available weekly at Covenant Presbyterian Church — and not just on Sunday mornings. In addition to the classes described below that meet at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays, there are weekly gatherings and often one-time special programs or learning opportunities to be had with a number of the groups that also regularly meet for fellowship (see also the “Gather” section of our website here). We explore biblical, theological, spiritual and ethical topics together in these varied offerings. Brief descriptions of our regular Sunday opportunities follow, but you should be sure to look for announcements in the bulletin and in our weekly newsletter The Covenanter.
Are you a God-Botherer? God-Botherers can be faithful churchgoers or terminal seekers, those whose faith is usually strong or those whose faith is on life support. They are doubting believers, or believing doubters, who have all kinds of questions about faith, but can’t quite walk away from the crazy thought that there is a God who won’t walk away either. Led by Pastor Tom, this class meets in the Library and is for anyone of any age who wrestles with tough questions!
This class meets in Room 216 and welcomes all adults who wish to participate in a discussion format usually including a book study led by class members.
This class meets in the “Upper Room” Classroom at the top of the ramp and Via Zoom. James Malone hosts and different class members facilitate the discussion of the weekly chapter in “The Present Word.”
